Sushi Bar in Zona 10 Guatemala City

Having grown up in a very divesre community, I very much enjoy having a varied diet. Guatemala is not full of too great of a variety of international cuisine, unless of course you are in La Antigua Guatemala or Guatemala City.

In Guatemala City, one of the restaurants I like to dine at for a different night out is Sushi Itto, a sushi bar in Zona 10 at 4a Avenida y 14 calle.

Sushi Itto serves a good variety of sushi combos, as well as tempura, sashimi, maki, yakitori, and teppanyaki. The food is good, and uses the best ingredients available for the dishes.

Service is good, food is great – no complaints here. I always get the combo Read more

ONE Restaurant and Lounge

The restaurant serves up a variety of popular modern dishes and uses traditional gourmet ingredients from Guatemala and abroad. The lounge, which is connected to the restaurant is a very edgy and modern; it is unlike anything else you will find in Guatemala City.

ONE has a little bit of everything for everyone – families can eat at the restaurant, those who are there to mingle and meet other singles can chill on the lounge side.

The Complete Guide To Guatemala

This article was published by The Independent and highlights the history, culture and nature of Guatemala. Alessia Horwich brings out the best of Guatemala for the budget traveller.

Why Guatemala?

This chunk of Central America, wedged beneath Mexico and washed by both the Atlantic and Pacific, is scenically beautiful, rich in history – and very cheap.

Guatemala is the only Central American country where indigenous Indian people are in the majority, and their culture is vividly conveyed in their bright, hand-woven textiles. Before the Spanish Conquest, the Mayan civilisation was arguably the most advanced in the Americas. It began to crumble before Columbus arrived, but bequeathed an array of exquisite cities, which are still being uncovered from within Read more

Jean Francois – French Cuisine in Guatemala City

For a night out in Guatemala City you should definitely try Jean Francois, a delightful French restaurant in Zona 10.

Jean Francois restaurant is nicely decorated, and serves delicious food. The strangest thing about it is trying to find it! If you absolutely can’t find it you can call 333–4785 and ask how to get there!
