Two Awesome Restaurants in Zona 10, Guatemala City!

New city, new neighbors, new hairdresser, new favorite restaurant. We all face the same decisions and adjustment period when we move to a new city, even worse a new country. To make that transition easier, here are two candidates for new favorite restaurant.

two awesome restaurants in Zona 10Real steak houses are few and far between in Guatemala. That is what makes Hacienda Real so special.   This steak house is serving up every kind of meat and doing it right. They serve a delicious, local Filet Mignon wrapped in bacon, pork and beef tenderloin, grilled seafood and chicken. A signature dish is the Parrillada Real, including  grilled steak, puyaso, sausage, chorizo and chicken served with corn on the cob and a baked potato. Hacienda Real is all about rich, delicious, hearty meals that will leave stuffed and yet begging for more. They have a wonderfully varied breakfast menu, a children’s menu  and most importantly a dessert menu. New York Cheesecake just like back home, Flan, Tres Leches and Tiramisu are shinning stars in the dessert menu. Meals are very affordable and they will even pick you up from your hotel for free.

For an exquisite dinning experience enter Pecorino Ristorante, a little corner of southern Italy. The transformation is evident even before you come in the door. The elegant outdoor gardens and romantic outdoor seating area invite you to step inside. The rustic, earthy tones, stones, brick and beautiful hardwoods complete this authentic décor. The star of the show, however, is the food. Brick oven pizzas are a specialty but no less delicious than other family recipes. Perfectly cooked pastas with varieties of sauces are also favorites. Also noteworthy is that Pecorino Ristorante has free WiFi for guests. Most impressive though, is that they are home to Central America’s largest wine cellar housing 420 different wines.  Pecorino Ristorante is located on Calle 11 3-36 Zona 10, Guatemala city.

Go ahead and start making yourself at home. A visit to either of these restaurants will surely result in finding your new favorite restaurant in Guatemala City.
