Guatemala Weather

Guatemala has two seasons: rainy and dry. The rainy season runs from November to April and the wet season runs from May to October. The summer months of May-July are particularly hot, and the majority of the rain falls from July to September.

In general the best time to visit Guatemala is the dry season, especially since it coincides with the winter weather months in the colder Northern countries. There is an influx of Gua5visitors around the holiday season, making things more crowded, and in some cases more expensive.

During the rainy season the showers tend to fall in the afternoon and evening. If you are on a limited budget you might want to come during this time of year, as there are more travel bargains.
